Jawakara Islands: Designed to be Every Family's Dream for a Luxury Getaway.

There are two luxurious islands connected by a single resort, with an emphasis on intergenerational activities. Activities for all ages include surfing, Maldivian cooking and fishing schools, paddle tennis, and relaxing spa treatments.

Crown & Champa Resorts, which also operates Kudadoo Maldives Private Island, Hurawalhi Maldives, and Kagi Maldives Resort & Spa, has announced that the Jawakara Islands Maldives will open on October 22. A 'One Island, One Resort' idea, Jawakara features 290 private villas in the Maldives. The five-star retreat consists of two different islands, Mabin and Dheru, joined by an oversea boardwalk and accessible either luxury speedboat from Madivaru domestic airport in Lhaviyani Atoll or seaplane from Malé International Airport in only 40 minutes.

The resort of Jawakara will be operated as a whole, catering to families and groups of all ages. Guests have the option of participating in a wide variety of activities, from golf and paddling to football on a regulation-sized surface. Two Suhla spas, a yoga retreat, and two infinity pools are also available.

Maurice Van Den Bosch, General Manager, Jawakara Islands Maldives, comments: “Jawakara is designed to be every family's dream for a luxury getaway – every detail has been thought of for all generations alike for an all-encompassing offering that will define Jawakara as the pioneer for luxury multi-generational travel in classically Maldivian surroundings.”

All youngsters staying on Mabin Island have access to the Jawa Kids Club. Mini golf, football, and paddle tennis clinics, kid-friendly spa treatments, and lessons in the finer points of sushi and mocktail mixology are just a few of the many fun and age-appropriate activities available via the Jawa Kids programme. Children may participate in sustainability seminars and ocean exploration with the resident marine biology specialist, as well as learn about Maldivian culture via song, dance, and painting.

Guests interested in learning how to ride the waves on their own will find all they need at the surf school. In addition to the aforementioned water sports, Jawakara provides a plethora of others for families to enjoy together, such as guided diving and snorkelling trips, paddleboarding, kayaking, and the opportunity to earn certifications at the PADI five-star training centre.

There are also two infinity pools with ocean views, a children's pool, futsal (football) courts made of artificial turf, tennis courts, badminton courts, a fitness centre, a volleyball court, and the largest (9-hole) golf course in the Maldives.

There are a total of 202 villas, 110 Beach Villas, 90 Beach Pool Villas, and 70 Water Pool Villas spread over Mabin and Dheru. For bigger parties or families, Mabin has 10 villas with two bedrooms that may be configured as twins or triples. In addition, Dehru is home to five three-bedroom beach pool villas with capacity for up to eight guests. The main bedroom has an indoor bathroom, while the two outer bedrooms each have their own outdoor bathroom. These villas are great for large families, those who want to bring a nanny, or two families travelling together due to the villas' adaptable sleeping configurations.

Each villa has a king-size bed, outside sundecking, a 48-inch flatscreen TV with the newest movies, and an interior bathroom with a rain shower, providing an atmosphere of seclusion and spaciousness ideal for family bonding and relaxation.

There is a wide range of restaurants to suit a wide range of palates. Mabin Island's à la carte 'Waves' restaurant dishes up Mediterranean fare, while the South Side Maabinhura Restaurant - AILA offers all-day buffets both indoors and out, complete with show kitchens. You can pick from one of Mabin's three bars.

Guests can enjoy buffet-style dining at The Retreat Restaurant on Dheru or opt for á la carte Asian-Pacific cuisine at the heart of the walkway connecting the two islands to enjoy a unique dining experience while watching the sunset on the Indian Ocean horizon. The vantage point at the Blue Zone bar is breathtaking.

Ayurveda spa and wellness services are provided at two Sulha Spas, one with eight double treatment rooms in the tropical jungle of Mabin Island and the other with six treatment rooms and a yoga retreat perched above the crystal-clear Jawakara lagoon.
