Rare and Exclusive, hello Concours of Elegance

The 2024 Concours of Elegance will be held at Hampton Court Palace from Friday, 30th August, through Sunday, 1st September, 2024. The Concours of Elegance started in 2012 in Windsor Castle, then travelled to St. James's Palace, Hampton Court Palace, and the Palace of Holyroodhouse in Edinburgh, which served as Her Majesty The Queen's royal residence in Scotland, before returning to both locations in 2016 and 2017.

Once more, the Concours of Elegance will bring together a collection of 60 of the rarest automobiles from around the globe, many of which have never been seen in the UK. Prior to the main Concours event, several of the Concours automobiles will participate in a 2-day driving tour. Unusually, the owners of the participating automobiles choose the Concours of Elegance winner rather than a group of judges. To determine which vehicle is the "Best of Show," each participant is required to cast a vote against the other models that are on display.

There will be displays of hundreds of additional outstanding cars, including competitors for The Club Trophy, to go along with the Concours of Elegance. The Club Trophy, now in its seventh year, sees some of the UK's most famous automotive clubs present their best examples to a neutral panel of judges. The winning Club Trophy vehicle will be admitted to the main Concours of Elegance competition the following year.

The Concours of Elegance first coincided with the 60th anniversary of Her Majesty The Queen’s Coronation.

In 2012, 60 cars graced the lawns of Windsor Castle; it was an immediate success.  In the 10 years that have followed, the Concours of Elegance has commanded a unique position in the Concours world; renowned for its Royal Patronage, access to historic and Royal Palaces with a strong feeling of elegance and Britishness.

It has been an incredible journey with Concours hosted in the Royal Palaces of Hampton Court, Windsor Castle, The Palace of Holyroodhouse and St James’s in London.
