Soel Senses 62 is the future of sustainable yachting since it was born from the Dutch company's obsession with high-quality performance, zero emissions, and luxurious luxury.

Using economy, sustainability, and "clean" design as guiding principles, the Soel Yachts design team created a yachting experience that is both present and future-proof. The ship's aesthetic is a close reflection of her cutting-edge technical form. The exterior's new and exciting design is built on a foundation of soft curves and manly surface accents. Her design philosophy prioritises airiness, simplicity, and natural light.

The main deck's open salon is the yacht's social hub, with panoramic views of the sea and sky. It's a true indoor/outdoor space thanks to a full-beam glass sliding door that leads to the outer aft deck (cockpit). The galley and lounge are part of the salon. The design of the space, which serves multiple purposes, visually differentiates between its private and public uses.

The yacht can sleep up to nine people in its two VIP staterooms, the roomy owner's suite, and the separate children's cabin. Up to three crew members can stay in the cabin's private quarters. There is plenty of public and private space, including multiple lounges, two eating rooms, a workspace with a desk, and an open galley with a bar.

A grill setup and day head (toilet) can be found in the cockpit's sheltered dining and lounging area. The pool platform is easily accessible through gentle stairs, as is the toy locker. A hydraulic swim platform can be added as an extra feature for easier access to the water. The yacht has a large deck in the back, perfect for sunbathing and entertaining, and a smaller deck in front with a sunken seating space, great for watching the sun go down. The sun deck features a secluded sunbathing space as well as a flybridge that is shaded from the elements. Soel Yachts now offers a variant with a fully covered flybridge, perfect for use as an owner's cabin, living area, or in any number of different configurations.

The yacht's integrated solar roof produces 18.5 kWp of solar energy, enough to power the yacht for up to 120 kWh per day. Soel Yachts has developed a patented active cooling technology for solar panels that drastically improves energy gathering by 15–20%.

The Soel Senses 62 is offered in two propulsion systems: Cruise and Power.

Cruise

The Cruise system has two 100 kilowatt (kW) electric motors, a 100 kW (kW) DC generator set, and 212 kWh (kWh) of lithium batteries. This allows the yacht to reach a maximum speed of 12 knots, with a cruising speed of 8 knots.

Power

The Power system includes a 150 kW DC generator set, 424 kWh of lithium batteries, and 2x 200 kW electric motors. This allows the yacht to reach a maximum speed of 14 knots, with a cruising speed of 10 knots.

These choices offer excellent fuel efficiency, even while covering lengthy distances. In addition to the standard AC single and three phase shore power charging, they also support DC rapid charging. The yacht's systems are well-maintained and future-proof thanks to their ability to receive updates wirelessly. In-house engineers and their long-term collaborators at Navy DC developed the solar electric motor train technology. With a cumulative ocean record of over 800,000 nautical miles (or 17 trips around the world), more than 20 electric systems have been successfully delivered across the world.

The yacht's CFD-optimised hull form was developed for optimal electric propulsion and comfortable passage. The shipyard is proud of the substantial work put into integrating the electric system to improve velocity, range, and controllability. The end result is a yacht with amenities on par with those of a standard superyacht but with far lower fuel costs and an overall cost of ownership than a conventional catamaran.
