PERSHING 9X: Elegance and Sophistication to New Heights.

The Pershing 9X was a joint effort between Piero Ferrari, who heads the Ferretti Group's Product Strategy Committee, and the Group's Engineering Department. It is the culmination of a design process that included the group's top technical partners and its in-house team of engineers and designers.

The hull of the second X-Generation vessel is constructed from carbon fibre-reinforced vinylester resin, while the deck and superstructure are constructed from epoxy resin. For this method to work, new moulds and a special location in the Mondolfo yard had to be built.

The state-of-the-art technology that coordinates the yacht's propulsion with its steering, navigation, and monitoring capabilities makes the Pershing 9X a watershed model for the company. The Engineering Department has collaborated with the Group's key partners to develop innovative solutions that provide captains and owners with a state-of-the-art, user-friendly tool for managing the ship's engines, on-board instruments, and other control systems.

The Top System surface drive and Rolla surface propellers give the Pershing 9X a total of 2,638 mhp from its twin MTU 16V 2000 M96L engines. The coupé's 42-knot peak speed in test displacement mode, 38-knot cruise speed, and 380-nautical-mile maximum range are examples of its unparalleled performance in its class.

Thanks to a platform developed in collaboration between Top System and Onyx for the Easy Set system, Xenta Systems for the cutting-edge electro-hydraulic steer-by-wire system, and Naviop-Simrad for the navigation and monitoring systems, the control system and interface between the engines and drives are completely unified. Both the helm station and the pilot station on the sun deck have huge touchscreens that make accessing this information seamless.

The new version of the Easy Set system, based on knowledge gained from the most recent Pershing models, is included in the propulsion package (the result of a long-standing partnership between Pershing and Top System), and it optimises trim and performance while navigating. However, it can be turned off at any time in favour of manual control.

Packaged with the surface drive system is a novel joystick function that, when combined with the possibility of independent drive, allows for docking and manoeuvring in tight spaces that is, to put it mildly, revolutionary for a yacht equipped with surface propellers.

The large side-wings and aerodynamic profile of the sundeck enhance sportier thoroughbred lines, which are now sleeker and more aggressive. The Pershing 9X elevates this new design style even further, as seen in the most recent yachts introduced to the market (particularly the Pershing 5X and Pershing 70).

The cockpit is an ideal extension of the salon, with its own sunpad and seating space, including a small table that can be electrically lowered to offer some welcome shade. Folding and retracting into the bulkheads below deck, the glass door and windows that separate the interior from the exterior provide a spacious open area on the main deck.

The rest of the outside spaces are as beautiful as they are practical. Making the most of the space available, a sunpad can be found on the foredeck, just in front of a lounge with sofas and a table that are protected from the sun by a sun awning.

Two moulded spoilers along the fore triangle hide the mooring cleats, fairleads, and winches, keeping the aggressive lines of the profile and isolating the mooring operations; this is a great design option for the technical area. The sundeck's lounge dinette and huge sunpad provide ample room for lounging, while the helm station, which has three individual chairs and two tunnels for the navigation instrumentation, can be hidden away when not in use.

The main deck's beauty and practicality stem from its abundance of windows, which illuminate the lounge, eating area, and captain's quarters. Along with Poltrona Frau, with whom Pershing is celebrating a 10-year cooperation in 2017, this design masterpiece was created. It is an astonishing blend of elegance, technology, and sportiness. Poltrona Frau "Interior in Motion" leather upholstery may be found in the three individual seats, dashboard, and integrated helm station.

To starboard of the control deck is a door that leads down to the boat's hold. The day head is located halfway down the ship's steps and provides a comfortable, private spot for overnight guests. From the full-beam master bedroom amidships to the VIP suite ahead with a double bed flipped 45 degrees to give even more comfort and more room to move around, all four cabins are accessible through a central hallway. The two guest rooms, a double with two adjustable beds to port and a double with twin beds to starboard, may be accessed from the hallway. After entering the lounge's main door, one can use the portside companionway to access the galley. From here, you may access the crew quarters and the engine rooms.

The original Pershing 9X's owner hand-picked the yacht's furnishings from among the most illustrious names in luxury Italian design to create a one-of-a-kind floating work of art. The main deck's ceilings, bulwarks, and upholstered furnishings in the guest cabins are all designed by Poltrona Frau. The latter were custom-designed for the Pershing 9X and were influenced by the Lepli brand. In addition to the Gran Torino sofa and Fitzgerald dining chairs, the Lepli pouffe and Montera chair can also be seen in the master bedroom, all of which are products of Poltrona Frau. The cockpit's chairs are by Dedon, the lounge's coffee table is by Flexform, and the Fendi Casa throw pillows provide the finishing touch.

Italy Dream Design developed the wonderful table for your dining room. Fiddle-back wood, light grey carpeting, enamels, and leathers in dark tones are arranged playfully to complement the interior architecture (especially the textures of the furniture doors, supplied by Bizzarro Leather). The lighting system, designed in collaboration with Altra Luce, is complemented by two Cini & Nils table lights.
