Past, Present and Future of Aston Martin.

On the occasion of Aston Martin's 110th anniversary, the Silverstone Circuit played host to a spectacular celebratory lap featuring one hundred and ten Aston Martin vehicles that honoured the history, present, and future of the illustrious British brand. The extraordinary line-up of 110 vehicles sets a new record for the most Aston Martins on track at one time. This record was set in advance of the home race in the F1 World Championship® that will be hosted by the Aston Martin Aramco Cognizant Formula One® Team.

The year 2023 will mark 110 years since founders Lionel Martin and Robert Bamford officially formed the partnership that went on to create the first Aston Martin car, sparking more than a century of ultra-luxury high performance sports cars, cutting-edge British innovation, and high-octane racing success. Lionel Martin and Robert Bamford officially formed the partnership in 1903.

The A3, Aston Martin's oldest surviving car dating back over a century, the DB3S, which was driven by many of the greatest British drivers of the 1950s, including Sir Stirling Moss, the unmistakable DB5, which is synonymous with James Bond, the ultimate hypercar, the Aston Martin Valkyrie, and the world's fastest SUV, DBX707, as well as its latest production model, the world's first Super Tourer, the DB12, impressed crowds.

The official Aston Martin Vantage FIA Safety Car and the DBX707 Medical Car were both on the grid, demonstrating the high-performance products of Aston Martin's ever-increasing relevance for the road and track. Aston Martin drivers were in charge of both vehicles and kept a close eye on the action.

Owners of enthusiast Aston Martins who travelled from all over the world to be a part of the thrilling lap and enjoy their own Aston Martin's moment in the spotlight on one of the world's greatest racetracks rounded out the cavalcade. The racetrack was the Goodwood Festival of Speed in Goodwood, England.

Before the celebratory lap, the Aston Martin Aramco Cognizant Formula One® Team hosted the 110 cars and enthusiasts to explore the one-of-a-kind collection of Aston Martins at the newly opened 400,000 square foot (37,000 m2) AMR Technology Campus at Silverstone, which opened in conjunction with the celebrations.

Lawrence Stroll, Executive Chairman of Aston Martin said: “We promised that 2023, Aston Martin’s 110th anniversary year, would be a monumental one for the brand. Not only did we set out to introduce our highly anticipated next generation of sports cars, but we also made a pledge to create memorable moments for our owners, enthusiasts, and colleagues across the world, to celebrate this significant moment in Aston Martin’s history.

“In a season where Aston Martin has risen to become a new force in Formula One, there is no place or time more fitting for our celebrations to take centre stage than here at our home race at Silverstone where we’ll receive huge support this weekend.”

A highly exclusive, limited-edition model will be unveiled later this month as part of Aston Martin's 110th anniversary celebrations.
