How big does a superyacht need to be? With accommodation for eight guests, a sun deck with a Jacuzzi, and a chic saloon with floor-to-ceiling windows, the owners of SOLIS would tell you that 34-metres is just perfect.

It’s often the larger superyachts that make a splash when they join the brokerage market, but this 34m motoryacht can boast Dutch build pedigree and a full-custom design and construction – making her one of the smallest, yet most premium, superyachts available.

SOLIS was built at the Mulder Shipyard in the Netherlands and bears both an interior and exterior design by Claydon Reeves. “The build story is quite special,” begins William Molloy, head of charter at Moravia Yachting, who assisted the owners with their new-build commission 2013. “I had been introduced to the owners through a family friend, and we visited Pendennis Shipyard, Moonen, Hakvoort and Feadship in our search for the right team to construct their desired 31m new build. It was actually Tom de Vries at Feadship who suggested we take a look at Mulder.”

The clients and William were both impressed by Mulder’s brand-new facility in Holland. At the time, the yard was known for its smaller motor yachts, but they had completed a 28m vessel with a flybridge in 2010 and we were assured of their capability.

SOLIS was completed in 2015 and heralded something of a new era for the Mulder Shipyard, launching them onto the international stage for the construction of larger, full-custom motor yachts.

Presented for sale for the first time since her launch in 2015, SOLIS sports streamlined proportions and an elegant silhouette that, combined with her near-vertical bow, give her a progressive, modern edge.

SOLIS’ notable design and build process saw her awarded ‘Best Displacement Motor Yacht Below 500GT’ in the 30m – 41.9m category of the 2016 World Superyacht Awards, presented by Boat International, and she was also a finalist in three categories of that year’s Showboat Design Awards.

On the main deck there’s a dining table to aft that converts to a huge sun pad, and full-height glass doors lead through to a chic saloon lounge that boasts floor-to-ceiling windows down both sides. A statement bar counter with stools is centrally positioned and forward of this resides a more formal interior dining area with sliding doors and a balcony to starboard.

A standout feature aboard SOLIS is her sizeable sun deck. In addition to a curved bank of seating and alfresco dining table, there’s a Jacuzzi with a bar top, and a bank of sun pads for enjoying the elevated views.

There’s accommodation aboard SOLIS for eight guests in four suites. The VIP suite is located on the main deck and boasts an incredible skylight above the bed. There’s a full-beam master suite on the lower deck as well as two twin cabins, and SOLIS has separate accommodation for six crew.

SOLIS is charter ready and presents enormous possibility for a new owner. “She’d be a sought-after addition to the Mediterranean or Bahamas-based charter fleet, and offers family cruising at exceptional levels of luxury,” comments Sam Tucker, Palma-based sales broker for Moravia Yachting, who shares the CA listing for SOLIS with Moravia colleague, Roy Posthuma.

The interior is light, bright, and has wide appeal. With delicate curves and a subtle definition between interior social spaces, her style can be dialled up or down to suit.

“Constructed in steel with an aluminium superstructure, SOLIS is one of few custom builds in this size bracket and she has been kept in immaculate condition,” adds Sam. SOLIS has a trans-Atlantic range, a top speed of 13 knots, and at-anchor stabilisers.

SOLIS will be on display in the Palma Superyacht Village, April 27th – 30th, and is listed for sale at €13,900,000.
