How Bespoke Lighting Can Transform Your Yacht Into A Floating Masterpiece.
At the Monaco Yacht Show, Preciosa Lighting, an innovator in creative marine lighting, debuted their most recent Signature Design for the sea. The customisable Crystal Pixels are displayed with scenes of dynamic lighting that mimic a wave of the ocean. The concept of the design is ideal for luxurious rooms in harsh maritime environments.
Michael Vasku and Andreas Klug, Creative Directors of Preciosa Lighting, created the piece Ocean Pixels. The most recent Preciosa Signature Design Crystal Pixels served as inspiration for their installation, which adds a touch of marine elegance and calming, vivid oceanic colours.
A lighting canvas with a marine theme is built upon the individual pixels represented by each handcrafted crystal cube with an elaborate design. The splendour of marine life, coral reefs, and ocean waves is reflected in this design. To ensure the highest quality and individuality, each crystal pixel is painstakingly handmade. Similar to other Preciosa Signature designs, Crystal Pixels provides an extensive array of customising choices, ranging from variations in component sizes and patterns to compositions and colours, enabling an individualised touch that caters to specific requirements.
What drops are to the infinite sea of inspiration, bricks are to architecture, and pixels are to digital culture. Every one of them forms something far bigger than the sum of its parts and serves as a vital building component. The basis of Ocean Pixels was this alluring concept.
Three distinct types of beautiful crystal glass were created in various colours to produce Ocean Pixels, which are a stunning display of light and shadow evoking sunlight dancing on the surface of water. The outcome, sculpted from 100 kg of crystal, is an exquisitely beautiful but adaptable lighting option ideal for elegant interior design.
Preciosa's internal R&D team enabled the launch of the maritime concept by stabilising the fixturepoints, weather-treating all parts, and putting it through our stringent maritime testing protocols.
