The hotel's General Manager, Ed White says 'It is an honour to be celebrating such a milestone anniversary for the iconic St. Pancras building. I would like to take this time to thank our incredibly dedicated team at St. Pancras Renaissance Hotel London and our wonderful guests for all their support over the years, and we look forward to our exciting celebrations across the year.'

The Midland Grand Dining Room, the newest addition to Harry Handelsman's restaurant and hotel empire, opened there on May 2 to coincide with the festivities. With the help of Michelin-starred chef Patrick Powell and celebrated interior designer Hugo Toro, the new restaurant will pay homage to the building's heyday with a design and menu that are heavily influenced by France, reflecting the area's historic role as a crossing point between the continents. Midland Grand Hotel was a Gothic Revival hotel that opened in 1873 and inhabited the building until it was converted into apartments. The building's current name honours both the hotel and the Dining & Coffee Room that once stood there.
