The abbreviation "bhn" stands for "be here now," and it represents the co-founders' personal philosophy as well as their passionate attention to detail and perseverance. Since they have been business owners since they were in their 20s, every item in the bhn Selections line shows their passion and creativity, right down to the labels, which were all hand-drawn by founder Marco and tell a different story. The bhn No. 23 2018 Barolo, the flagship wine of the bhn Maison Wines, is a late-harvest Barolo that exudes strength, grace, and a sharp purity. This complex wine is aged in big oak barrels, and the first fermentation takes place over the course of 60 days. It comes from 50-year-old Nebbiolo vines that are located at the highest elevations in the Barolo appellation. The complex bouquet, which is silky and graceful, features notes of violets, blood oranges, and old, tilled Earth. With poise, elegance, and enticing aromas, this inspired, elegant wine develops in the glass. This 2023 debut, which is limited to only 3,000 bottles, exhibits measured intensity and is the first wine made by growers who adhere to the exacting, premium, quality-controlled standards.

Italian-made, bhn No. 8 2022, made in Parma When making Parmigiano Reggiano, producers use techniques that have been passed down through several generations. Its name evokes the close connection between this product and its locale, conjuring up records of unquestionable quality and authenticity. Due to the thorough and regular analysis, the milk, which is obtained from nearby cowsheds, is raw and has high-quality microbiological features with wellness properties. This cheese slowly ferments in wooden moulds before being moved into an ageing chamber, where it develops a distinctive flavour, a grainy appearance, and a soft, creamy texture. The No. 8 cheese's distinguishing features are also influenced by environmental factors, which call for exact and meticulous quality control in order to respect the delicate harmony between milk, environment, and dairy culture and maintain the cheese's distinctive flavour. Parmigiano Reggiano is completely natural, lactose-free, and free of additives or preservatives. With only 350 pieces produced for sale, the final product is a Parmesan that is full of enzymes, nutrient-dense, decidedly pungent, and just the right amount of sweet.

The Trapani, Sicily-produced bhn No. 15. 2021 Cold-Pressed Extra Virgin Olive Oil is made with the utmost care. This glossy, velvety treat is skillfully made using a method used by the same family for generations. During peak season, this ritual calls for crushing the olive crops twice a day: at 11:00 AM and after 5:00 PM at the end of the daily harvest. No. 15 sparkles on the outside and has hints of herbaceous green. The manually harvested Belice Nocellara (10%), Cerasuola (60%), and Biancolilla (10%) olives, grown 110 metres above sea level, produce aromas with hints of artichoke and green tomato. Continuous cold pressing, which guarantees that only the purest expression of the olive is represented, results in this golden elixir's intensely fruity, perfectly bitter flavour profile and spicy nose. The bhn No. 15 2021 Extra Virgin Olive, which is only available in 1,000 bottles, has a spicy nose and an intensely fruity, perfectly bitter flavour profile. It is best paired with bold sauces, swordfish, vegetables, tuna, or red meat.

The bhn founders have historically concentrated on providing excellent, high-end wines bought directly from producers throughout Italy, France, and Spain with a wide range of sourcing. Their Wines Of Kings enterprise, which is synonymous with prestigious vintages, sells the most coveted and adored wines in the world, carefully chosen for their quality, vintage, producer, and terroir. After spending decades studying, tasting, and testing wines made by top European winemakers, they started to rethink the procedure from the ground up in order to create a portfolio of their own unique delights. The bhn private label Collection debuts just before the prestigious wine tasting room, which is scheduled to open in Portland in 2023. "We actually live by the BHN philosophy. It involves being in the moment, "founder Marco Prete says. "It serves as an example of how paying attention in the present can help you grasp a depth and meaning that you might not otherwise. Similar principles apply when making wine; you must be patient, present, and a captive collaborator with nature." Co-founder Cristina adds, "We live by this principle.

When the co-founders opened a US-based wine-making facility in Portland in 2021, they expanded their goals and raised the bar for their own winemaking, marking another significant step towards the launch of their own custom offering. They bought 81 acres in the McMinnville appellation of Oregon's Willamette Valley in 2022, which has been the home of generations of winemakers. The founders discovered and identified a unique terroir in this area, replete with a dense, nutrient-rich soil, spectacular for grape harvesting, thanks to his years spent studying great cellar masters. The estate stands out from other wineries in the area due to the exceptional quality of the soil. Both the bhn No. 30 2022 Pinot Noir and bhn No. 33 2022 Chardonnay are currently in the fermentation process.
