60 years of CRN at the Monaco Yacht Show 2023

This remarkable success story will be preserved in the CRN Heritage Gallery with a magnificent collection of iconic photos. From September 27 to 30, 2023, CRN, a storied shipyard that specialises in designing, developing, and building superyachts up to 90 metres in length, will attend the Monaco Yacht Show.

The unique Made in Italy brand of the Ferretti Group will begin a new chapter in its impressive six-decade history of excellence, craftsmanship, and invention in this illustrious location. Sanzio Nicolini, the company's creator and an entrepreneur from the Marche, had an inspiring idea that set the trip in motion in 1963. With significant breakthroughs and resounding accomplishments that have altered the face of the worldwide market over the past 60 years, CRN has completely transformed the yachting industry. Nicolini promptly hired the best craftsmen, labourers, and yacht designers from across the world, producing one-of-a-kind works of art that have made lasting contributions to the contemporary yachting industry in Italy and beyond.

The CRN Heritage Gallery, which will be celebrating these 60 years, will be used by CRN to convey its narrative during the upcoming Monaco Yacht Show. The most recognisable boats from the brand will be featured prominently in an exciting display. From the SuperConero to the Bagheera, from Fath Al Khair to the F100, the first explorer yacht in recreational boating, via Azzurra, Il Vagabondo, and Numptia, these boats, designed and built by the CRN shipyard in collaboration with renowned international yacht designers, took revolutionary approaches and brought amazing innovations.

Jon Bannenberg, Gerhard Gilgenast, Paola D. Smith, Terence Disdale, Alberto Pinto, François Zuretti, Laura Sessa, Nuvolari Lenard, and Zuccon International Project are just a few of the world-renowned architects and designers with whom CRN has collaborated. Vripack, Omega Architects, Vallicelli Design, Nauta Design, and many more have participated in recent collaborations.

CRN has consistently overcome even the most difficult obstacles with the help of its defining ideals and spirit. Together with the Mario Morini yard, which was bought in 2002, it has launched over 400 ships, including fishing boats, military ships, commerce ships, ferries, and pleasure craft that continue to represent the pinnacle of Italian design and craftsmanship on oceans across the globe.
