'Utter Seclusion' With Pelorus Private Island.

Indulge in complete seclusion on Pelorus Private Island, the newest jewel in the Northern Getaway Collection, located in the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Great Barrier Reef.

Pelorus Private Island is the only luxury private island property in the area, and it has a natural isolation of a single, spacious residence with four sumptuous rooms surrounded by clean seas, outstanding bordering reefs, and a lush, verdant hillside.

Diving, snorkelling, guided jet ski and sea bob tours, reef fishing, access to the Museum of Underwater Art (MOUA), and boat charters are just some of the bespoke activities available to guests of this island, which can be reached via a 30-minute helicopter ride from Townsville or a private superyacht. Hinchinbrook Island National Park, Australia's biggest island national park, is accessible from the island as well. The park has rainforest-covered hiking routes, plunging waterfalls, rich fauna, and a plethora of vegetation.

Morris Group Founder and Executive Chairman, Chris Morris said Pelorus Private Island will bring something incredibly unique to North Queensland. “Pelorus Private Island is a rare offering on the Great Barrier Reef, where guests can enjoy unparalleled levels of privacy and personalised service, in a location that seamlessly combines nature with luxury,” he said.

“The intimate dwelling is best shared with family and friends looking for a truly memorable getaway on the reef together. The secluded and highly private nature of the residence will attract a calibre of premium travellers not often seen in this part of the world.”

Around one-third of luxury travellers in the last five years had taken five or more trips, as reported by Tourism Australia's Global Future of Tourism Demand Study. These vacationers are known for their lavish spending habits and frequent travel.

“Pelorus Private Island aligns with the growing consumer demand for ultra-luxe products that offer exclusivity, privacy and remoteness while allowing them to connect and spend time with loved ones,” said Mr Morris.

Pelorus Private Island, which is currently under construction and is scheduled to welcome both domestic and international visitors in November 2023, features architecture and interiors created by Dubois Design.
