The promise purely of performance...

The new C 63 S E PERFORMANCE deviates stylistically from the Mercedes-Benz C-Class to emphasise its more powerful performance capabilities. Both the Saloon and Estate start with an AMG body-in-white that has been heavily customised. The front end is now 50 mm longer and has broader front wings. When compared to the Mercedes-Benz C-Class, its exterior measurements are noticeably smaller. The Saloon and Estate are longer by a total of 83 mm. With a wider front suspension track, the front of the vehicle is 76 millimetres wider. And the length of the chassis has increased by 10 mm. The redesigned C 63 S gives off an impression of strength and elongation.

The new narrow air outlet in the centre of the bonnet, which flows elegantly into the two power bulges, is a distinguishing trait unique to the C 63 S E PERFORMANCE. The traditional Mercedes star and laurel wreath on the bonnet have been replaced by the AMG round emblem in black. The jet-wing style front bumper and the AMG-specific radiator grille are still defining features. Flics, big inlets, and air curtains all work together to channel the airflow precisely where it's needed. The airflow can be adjusted electrically via two air panels located behind the radiator grille and in the front apron.

The design is finished off with matching side skirts, a rear apron with a big diffuser, and two trapezoidal dual exhaust trims with ribs on the outside. Unique features include a special airflow breakaway edge on the trunk lid (roof spoiler on the Estate), a plug-in charging flap, and the model name set against a red background. The wings feature a "E PERFORMANCE" badge to denote the hybrid propulsion system. Standard equipment for the C 63 S E PERFORMANCE includes a set of AMG light-alloy wheels wrapped in 19-inch mixed rubber. There is a new forged wheel and other wheel/tyre combinations offered in 20-inch size and with mixed tyres.

You can further tailor your ride by choosing from a wide variety of exterior colour schemes and optional extras. Only the C 63 S E PERFORMANCE is offered in the exclusive AMG matte graphite grey magno paint treatment. The AMG Exterior Carbon Fibre Packages I and II, AMG Night Packages I and II, and the AMG Aerodynamics Package can all be added to further emphasise the car's exterior appearance.

AMG sports seats with a unique design and stitching that stands out add to the luxurious feel of the cabin. The internal design options are flexible and cater to the needs of each customer. The C 63 S E PERFORMANCE is available in a wide range of exclusive paint jobs and nappa leather interiors, some of which feature an embossed AMG insignia on the front head restraints.

The second-generation AMG Performance seat has been changed in every way and is now an easy upgrade. The side bolsters of the seats have holes that reduce their weight and improve airflow. If you go with the nappa leather seating, you'll notice that the stitching is done in a different colour as well. The armrest gradually narrows down to the seat. The AMG emblem is now located below the fixed head restraint, between the matte metal cutouts.

The new Mercedes-AMG C 63 S E PERFORMANCE features a high-performance battery designed in Affalterbach, completely variable AMG Performance 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive, and a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbocharged engine. Both the Saloon and the Estate can go from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.4 seconds thanks to the system's output of 500 kW (680 hp) and maximal torque of 1,020 Nm. With the available AMG Driver's Package, top speed is limited automatically to 280 km/h (or 270 km/h for the Estate). A compact electric drive unit (EDU) combines the 150 kW (204 hp) electric motor, electronically controlled limited-slip rear differential, and two-speed transmission located at the back axle. This design is known in the industry as a P3 combination. Over the back tyre is also where you'll find the lightweight, high-performance battery.
