The Goal is to Build a Car That is Pure, Sensually Engaging.
Customers throughout the world are still receiving deliveries of the Bizzarrini 5300 GT Corsa Revival, the most accurate recreation of the famous 5300 GT.
This most recent example, one of just 24 painstakingly hand-built automobiles, is a superb display for the Bizzarrini brand as it launches a tour of the States. It is finished in a stunning shade of yellow. The vehicle is a first for the 5300 GT Corsa Revival series, which has only previously included cars completed in the classic Rosso Corsa color and racing livery, which are exact replicas of the original 1965 model. The addition of new colors will indicate the degree of personalization to come with Giotto, the new Bizzarrini Super GT.
Julian Jenkins, Bizzarrini Chief Commercial Officer, said: “With over 18 months of detailed analysis utilising original engineering drawings and sourcing many original components, the team has created the most authentic recreation of the iconic 5300 GT Corsa. Our upcoming tour offers an opportunity to celebrate the life of Giotto Bizzarrini and his unparalleled contribution to the Automotive world, as well as showcasing the 5300 GT Corsa Revival and the exciting plans for our future Hyper GT, The Giotto.”
Just before Monterey Car Week, this unusual vehicle will land in California together with a sister vehicle that has previously participated successfully at the Spa Classic. Throughout the course of the week, both vehicles will participate in a variety of noteworthy events, including The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering, and the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion at Laguna Seca.
After Monterey Car Week, the vehicles will participate in a number of further events around the country, giving automobile aficionados the chance to experience the renowned brand.
With a lightweight single piece composite body over a steel frame, each of the 24 cars in the Revival series is a hand-built version of the car that won its class at Le Mans in 1965. Inside, a more thorough six-point roll cage and safety fuel cell, compliant with FIA Appendix K rules, protect the two seats. The Revival feels somewhat stiffer than the original models, according to test drives. The Giotto's Corsa-specific 5,300 cubic centimeter V8 engine, independent rear suspension, all-round disc brakes, and front-mid engine configuration give the Bizzarrini 5300 GT Revival Corsa a power-to-weight ratio similar to that of a contemporary supercar.
The Bizzarrini team is completing the specifications and design for the next Giotto Hyper GT car in addition to the hand-building and delivery of the Revival project. The vehicle strives to transform Giotto Bizzarrini's unwavering creativity into stunning, hand-built, powerful, evocative, and rare performance automobiles for the present day. Bizzarrini was one of the best automotive engineers of his time.
Chris Porritt, Bizzarrini Chief Technical Officer, said: "The Bizzarrini team has already established incredible foundations for the reborn brand, with a clear identity and a seriously impressive product in the Corsa Revival. Plans are well advanced for the evolution of the Bizzarrini brand, the first step of which will be revealed shortly. The goal is to build a car that is pure and sensually engaging. The art of engineering was used to create enormously fast and capable, but extraordinary, cars.”
Giotto Bizzarrini first gained notoriety at Ferrari as the director of experimental, sports, and GT vehicle development. He was instrumental in the creation of the famed Ferrari 250 GTO and later created the cutting-edge aerodynamics for the renowned Ferrari 250-based "bread van." Giotto is also well-known for his role in creating the iconic Lamborghini V12 engine, which was originally installed in Lamborghini's 350 GT debut model. The engine's design was so effective that Lamborghini continued to utilize some of its components up until 2010.
