New AMG CLE 53 Cabriolet: Open-Air Fun Meets Performance.
With the introduction of the SL Roadster, Mercedes-AMG has now introduced the CLE 53 4MATIC+ Cabriolet, making it the company's second open-top performance vehicle. In addition to its roomy cabin, convenient amenities, and long list of standard features, regardless of the season, you may drive this fresh new four-seater with ease.
The body design of the automobile is distinctive due to the many AMG-specific elements. Digital Light headlamps with their sharp, slim lines and AMG's distinctive A-shaped radiator grille provide for a distinctive appearance. They add to the car's dynamic look with their blue lighting at the base of the headlights and daytime running light ellipses. The eye-catching front skirt forms an A-shape ('A-Wing') in the middle, allowing for a wide air intake to enhance airflow. The two horizontal fins on the outside of the air intakes serve the same purpose.
The elegantly sculpted edges give the profile structure. The new AMG Cabriolet exudes power thanks to its wide track, 20-inch wheels, flared front and rear wheel arches, and overall design.
Features such as two-part LED lighting with three-dimensional light bodies, seamless transitions, and flowing surfaces define the muscular rear. The breadth of the car's rear is emphasised with a dark-red design feature that joins the taillights. The rear skirt's seamless integration with the spherical twin tailpipe trims is another striking feature. There are two colour options for the spoiler lip on the lid of the baggage compartment: body colour and black, which is available with the Pro Performance Package. Sportier details are included with the AMG styling package. Part of it is a diffuser panel sandwiched between the tailpipe trims, flics on the front and back skirts, and a high-gloss black spoiler lip on the lid of the baggage box.
Notable interior elements include a 12.3-inch completely digital driver display that stands alone and an 11.9-inch portrait-oriented central display that is directed towards the driver. To avoid glaring light reflections while the top is open, the second one has a power tilt range of 15 to 40 degrees. The 64-colour customisable dynamic ambient lighting is another standout feature. Light strips extend from the centre console all the way to the back of the vehicle, past the doors and the panels on the sides. This, together with two other encircling embellishments, produces a chic wraparound impression. First, a black nappa leather appearance covers the top portion of the dashboard, the top corners of the doors, and the soft-top cover panel. Secondly, chrome edging runs the length of the cabin.
The leather seats are treated with a unique coating that reflects the near-infrared wavelengths of the sun, keeping them cool even in the hottest summer months. Compared to regular untreated leather, this characteristic can keep the leather up to 12 degrees cooler in direct sunlight. Thanks to the insulated seat coverings, the cabin stays cooler even with the top closed.
The Pro Performance Package has AMG Performance seats as an option as well. Their distinctive bolsters, which make them stand out, offer extra lateral support. Ventilation and aesthetic appeal are both enhanced by vertical apertures. The seats are also accented in a contrasting shade when chosen with nappa leather.
Customers may select between Classic, Sport, and Supersport display styles on the driver's display. The eye-catching AMG-exclusive Supersport design has a circular tachometer in the middle and horizontal displays aimed at the driver to the left and right, giving the impression of depth. Some of the specialised displays that the driver may access through the AMG menu include engine statistics, gear display, warm-up, setup, G metre, race timer, and temperature. Drive programmes and telemetry data are only two examples of the distinctive AMG displays that highlight the car's dynamic nature on the main display.
The enhanced torque buildup and more harmonic engine response are more important than the absolute torque. An improved electric compressor and an extra one make this possible. An improvement that consumers will notice, especially in the medium rev range, is that it can now operate nearly constantly for a longer duration. Because of this, a bigger exhaust turbocharger could be installed, resulting in increased peak performance.
Whether you're navigating dry, wet, or slick ground, the AMG Performance 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive provides excellent traction for dynamic driving and an exceptionally high degree of driving safety. You may seamlessly switch between rear- and all-wheel drive modes thanks to the clever all-wheel drive management that is built into the car's overall system design. The distribution of torque is conditional on the driving scenario. The front axle is detached to improve economy when driving gently, so all-wheel drive is not necessary.
In the Pro Performance Package, the AMG Dynamic Plus is a key component. This provides a number of aspects related to the equipment that are very sporty, making the driving experience even more exciting. Also worth noting are the RACE driving programme's drift mode and RACE START. Steering wheel buttons allow for speedy management of driving programmes and other handling parameters on the AMG Performance carbon fibre/MICROCUT microfibre steering wheel. The car's red brake callipers, which have AMG branding on both the front and rear, emphasise its athletic nature. When it comes to the connection between the engine and the body, the dynamic engine mounts make sure that it may go from comfy to sporty, depending on the scenario.
