Lotus Breaking New Ground with Their First Hyper Gran Tourer.
“Bringing together our rich heritage with intelligent performance and the latest cutting-edge technologies, we’re pushing the boundaries for how a luxury electric vehicle should look and handle, making it truly for the drivers,” said Feng Qingfeng, CEO, Lotus Group.
Emeya combines Lotus's 75 years of experience in engineering and design with the newest cutting-edge advancements to provide drivers with an electric automobile that is both exhilarating and highly capable.
This entails the employment of cutting-edge active aerodynamic components, including the front grille, diffuser, and spoiler. All of this, together with the car's low centre of gravity and hyperstance, makes it very stable on the road and raises the bar for GT vehicles in terms of ride quality and handling precision.
The air suspension system on Emeya may be adjusted electrically. The sophisticated on-board sensors scan the road 1,000 times per second, constantly adjusting the car to optimise comfort.
The top-tier Emeya model has Lotus' high-power dual motor set-up, which allows it to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in less than 2.8 seconds and achieve a peak speed of more than 155 mph (250 km/h).
Lotus' industry-leading charging capabilities match Emeya's performance, giving consumers peace of mind no matter where their travels take them. If you have access to a 350 kW DC fast charger, you can add about 150 kilometres (93 miles) to your drive time in only five minutes, and you can increase your range by as much as 80 percent in just 18 minutes.
To minimise its impact on the environment, Emeya was purposefully created with cutting-edge sustainable components. In addition to PVD aluminium, Alcantara, Nappa leather, and Ultrafabrics PU, there is a new premium thread that is woven from recycled fibres from the fashion industry.
To ensure that every passenger has a top-notch listening experience, the Emeya will come equipped with an immersive audio system from KEF. The sound quality of music played through Emeya's speakers is unparalleled. The Eletre Hyper-SUV is the first Lotus to provide Dolby Atmos-enabled 3D surround sound, and it does it using KEF's award-winning Uni-Q® speaker design and Uni-CoreTM space-saving subwoofer enclosure.
“This is a Lotus like you have never seen before. We’ve built on everything Lotus has achieved so far to create a luxury performance car for the drivers, designed to inspire confidence and exhilarate with raw emotion and pure joy, connecting them to the road,” said Ben Payne, Vice President of Design, Lotus Group.
Emeya unites sentiment and reason, strength and accuracy, and the power of Lotus sports car DNA with the comfort and convenience of a four-door vehicle. Lotus picked the name Emeya for their new car because it represents their lofty goals and undying dedication to the project.
As part of its plan to become a worldwide performance brand by 2028, Lotus is adding the Emeya as a flagship model to its lineup of luxury lifestyle electric vehicles. The earliest that production might start is in 2024.
As part of a three-day immersive brand event celebrating the past, present, and future of Lotus at Studio Emeya in the heart of New York City, USA, the world premiere of the automobile was held.
The activity, which occupied four stories of a Manhattan parking garage, took guests on a journey through Lotus' history and legacy. The event started with a hands-on unveiling of the vehicle and a rooftop party where DJ and radio personality Benji B kept guests entertained while they got to know Emeya up close. It ended with an exclusive look at Emeya's construction and the sensation that comes from driving.
