Compass Tenders: Limousine Tender Delivered.

Both the 11.1-meter limousine tender and the 10.1-meter open tender were designed in collaboration with Reymond Langton Design and built by Compass Tenders. These two tenders have subtle styling characteristics that were taken from the exterior design of the mothership, 105m OceanCo superyacht H3, particularly in regard to the window shape, coachroof, and bimini detailing.

The climate-controlled cabin compartment of the limousine tender features seats for a total of twelve passengers. The interior has been completed to an outstanding degree, and it contains bespoke leather seating, mirror-polished stainless steel trim, leather panelling, clear coat carbon fibre window surrounds, and a gorgeous teak floor with an intersecting geometric pattern. Compass Tenders collaborated extensively with Reymond Langton to ensure that the interior reflected the design complexities that Reymond Langton had incorporated into the H3 refurbishment design. Additional onboard amenities include a forward-facing camera system that displays a view of the voyage being made by the tender on twin screens located within the cabin, an ambient lighting system, a refrigerator, and an integrated entertainment system.

The steps located both in front of and behind the limousine, in addition to the platform located at the rear, allow passengers to board the vehicle. Sliding glass doors provide access to the cabin, and an electrically operated sliding roof system makes it possible to retract the glass panels in either direction.

The propulsion is provided by two Yanmar 8LV-320hp engines in conjunction with two Yanmar ZT-370 stern drives, both of which are controlled by a joystick.

It is possible for guests to access the open tender using the aft steps, the swim platform, or the hydraulic bow door, all of which allow for more elegant beach landings. The open tender also has comfortable seating for 12, as well as a big aft sun pad that is located above the engine bay.

The tender has a peak speed of 36 knots and is fitted with a navigation system that is at the cutting edge of technology. In addition, it has been meticulously finished to an unusually high standard.

Richard Faulkner

“The client came to us having been inspired by other tenders built by Compass that they had seen in use on the water and at the Monaco Yacht Show. With the interior finish of the limousine, our team here at Compass has truly excelled; the level of craftsmanship and artistry is something I am extremely proud of. This limousine and open tender pairing offers the owner comfort and variety, and serves their usage requirements perfectly; it’s a very popular option, and we’ve had several clients opt for this sistership tender arrangement.” – Richard Faulkner, Founder and CEO of Compass Tenders.

Full compliance with the more sophisticated MCA MGN 280 – SCV2A classification was achieved by the limousine tender as well as its open tender sistership. Enhanced safety precautions, such as the incorporation of life rafts, were necessary to accomplish this goal, and the use of this unique code ensures that the tenders are economically compliant in their own right.

Both of the tenders are stored on deck, and a midships crane is used to deploy them.
