Breathtakingly beautiful, sporty, exciting and now even more comfortable
Just stunning visually, sporty and exhilarating on the water, and now more comfortable than ever before. Because of its practical design, the 56' Rivale's superb Hard Top is especially well-liked in regions with extremely high average temperatures since it provides a cool, shaded area on the main deck. The fact that the first unit is already over the Atlantic Ocean, in US waters, is not coincidental.
The 56-foot Rivale Hard Top is a continuation of the Dolceriva Hard Top and a development in Riva's Open range, which has been the company's primary focus since the beginning and includes such classics as the Riva Iseo, Acquariva Super, and Rivamare. The Riva 68' Diable is another another boat in this category that has recently been shown officially as the pinnacle of its kind.
Detail and quality have always been hallmarks of the company, and these yachts are no exception. From polished mahogany for the interiors to teak for the exteriors, from lacquered surfaces to mirror-finish stainless steel and beautiful leather, this yacht is truly amazing. The entire hull is painted in Riva Shark Grey, and the few black accents really pop.
When the swim platform is lowered, the steps on the port side are partially submerged, and other steps set in the hull are revealed, allowing a one-of-a-kind stairway to enter the sea and return on board without using the steel ladder.
A large sun pad is installed in the cockpit's rearmost part. Plenty forward-facing seats, an L-shaped sofa, and a teak table can be found in the deck area. With a raised dormeuse to the left of the helm station, this social space extends forward. The helm is fitted with touchscreen-based control, monitoring, and navigation systems, including the engine panel in the cutting-edge wide version from MAN-Boening. The bar equipment and supplies for at least six people are stored in the side cabinet behind the helm station, along with a refrigerator, an ice machine, a grill, and a wash basin. The pilot chair and its base are equipped with waste bins and storage spaces.
A sun pad with a reclining headrest and an awning provide shade in the bow. The lovely vintage housing for the signal horn complements the anti-slip, walkable glass surface that serves as the sun pad up front. The case is a stainless steel casting that has been polished to evoke the look of vintage Rivas. The Prodigy line of ochre and white Morbern leather was used to upholster the sofas, forward and aft sun pads, and the outside pilot chair.
The main update is the black fixed Hard Top accented with carbon fibre that spans the whole middle section of the yacht, protecting the lounge spaces from sun and rain. Steel grips on both sides serve as handrails, and the structure can be outfitted with air conditioning if desired. The cockpit and front lounge can both be shaded by awnings, turning the entire boat into a single enclosed space.
Below the deck of the 56' Rivale Hard Top is a chic lounge-dinette with alternating mirror surfaces, polished mahogany, dark lacquer finishes, and dark leather furnishings. Mirrored walls, which house the television, and lacquer finish sliding surfaces, which conceal the washbasin and work surfaces, render the galley on the port hull side virtually invisible.
A glass skylight and the big windows in the hull flood this space with natural light. The independent day head, with direct access from the dinette, makes this open ideal for day cruises with multiple passengers, who can use it in total privacy without having to enter the cabins and bathrooms of overnight guests.
Three private cabins make up the sleeping quarters; they share the same colour and material palette as the lounge but stand out thanks to the stark contrast between the white leather of the headboard and bed sides and the dark leather of the nightstands and bed frames. Both the master suite aft and the VIP quarters up front feature their own private bathrooms. A double cabin with two bunk beds and an adjacent bathroom/day head complete the design. Wood, bright and dark lacquer finishes, mirrored surfaces and white Corian all come together in the bathroom design. The third guest room can be converted into a crew quarters if needed.
