A Raw Expression of Impeccable Design and Intoxicating Performance.

The Norton V4CR, the most potent British café racer, is the company's first naked sport motorbike. The V4CR, the younger, rebellious sister of the V4SV, offers beautiful contemporary styling and a riding sensation appropriate for its 185 brake horsepower.

The naked superbike café racer, priced at £41,999 and limited to only 200 units, is the first all-new motorbike created by TVS-owned Norton after the re-engineered V4SV and new-generation Norton Commando 961 introduced last year. The new bike, which was painstakingly handcrafted at the company's headquarters in Solihull, inherits all the characteristics of Norton's DNA, including elegance in its flowing lines, the recognisable forward angle of the engine, and the unmistakable hourglass design.

The meticulous attention to detail in the handcrafted aluminium frame, titanium exhaust system, and precise welding is revealed by the fairing's pared-down carbon fibre design. The front-exposed air intakes, short body, and small tail unit give the V4CR its distinctively aggressive stance. The V4CR delivers the same surefooted handling and precise power delivery as the V4SV, thanks to the V4SV's superb engineering, but without the rider-separating barrier. It is a genuine experience that combines design and aesthetics with the exhilarating rush of the wind in your face and an uncharted route.

The superbike café racer comes in two colour options: Carbon or Manx Platinum. It has a 15-litre under-seat fuel tank made of carbon fibre with Kevlar reinforcement and carbon fibre body panels. Furthermore, it is the second motorbike to be propelled by Norton's own liquid-cooled 1200cc, 72-degree V4 engine, which has been tuned to provide 185bhp at 12,000rpm and 125Nm of torque at 9,000rpm. The legendary snarl of a Norton engine will once again fill UK roads thanks to a handcrafted exhaust system and the sound of the V4 engine.

Its British-made motorbike has a rapid shifter and auto blipper system, adjustable hlins front and rear suspension, Brembo brakes, strong aerospace grade aluminium billet-machine yokes, a smart lean-angle sensitive traction-control and three engine modes (wet, road, and sport). Keyless ignition, a full-colour 6-inch TFT display, and a traditional single round headlight with a contemporary LED unit are all standard features of the Norton V4CR.

The Manx Platinum option offers forged aluminium OZ racing wheels, a bright orange seat, and platinum-coloured bodywork that is matched by carbon components. The second choice, the V4CR Carbon, has a black seat and carbon fibre BST wheels in addition to exposed carbon fibre bodywork.

Dr. Robert Hentschel, CEO of Norton Motorcycles, said: “The Norton V4CR is a raw expression of impeccable design and intoxicating performance. We’ve taken the engineering of the V4SV and stripped back the outer shell to ensure the rider gets a truly uninhibited motorcycling experience.

“The V4CR is the first completely new model we’ve built. Our engineering and design teams have been meticulous in their approach, from initial sketches to concept production through the final finishing touches. The bike is the culmination of all our learnings and investment over the last three years, and we’re delighted that we can now share this taste of Norton’s future.”
