A New Era of Magical Indulgence has begun

The world-famous pastry chef Pierre Hermé and luxury ice cream manufacturer Häagen-Dazs have created an original macaron ice cream line, which is now available in the UK and France. Thanks to Pierre Hermé’s famous macarons and Haagen-Dazs’s famous ice cream, a new era of magical indulgence has begun.

Since 1960, Häagen-Dazs has been producing ice cream. The company’s founders, Reuben & Rose Mattus, had a dream to create the best ice cream in the entire globe using premium, hand-picked ingredients. Starting with cream and milk, each Häagen-Dazs ice cream is then blended with meticulously chosen ingredients. Beginning with just three straightforward flavors—chocolate, vanilla, and coffee—the company now sells more than 24 products, including pint tubs, mini cups, and stick bars, in major grocers, convenience stores, foodservice outlets, and Häagen-Dazs Shops.

The Alsatian bakers and pastry chefs from which Pierre Hermé is descended date back four centuries. His renown for infusing pâtisserie with flavour and modernity spans France, Japan, and the US, earning him the moniker “Picasso of Pastry” by Vogue. The universe of aromas, sensations, and delight has been created by Pierre Hermé, who once said that “pleasure is his only guide.” He has revolutionised even the most ingrained traditions as a result of his distinctive approach to the pastry chef occupation, turning him into a legendary figure in French gastronomy. Pierre Hermé Paris, the high-end “Haute Pâtisserie” business that he founded in 1997, debuted its first location in Tokyo in 1998, and then launched its Paris location at 72 rue Bonaparte in 2001. The pastry chef and chocolatier, who was named the World’s Best Pastry Chef by the World’s 50 Best Restaurants Academy in 2016, uses his technical prowess, talent, and ingenuity to delight all food enthusiasts.

The end product is a macaron and ice cream love story with a Parisian twist. The velvety ice cream is topped with crunchy, chewy mini macaron shells, creating the ideal fusion of Häagen-dreamy Dazs’s flavour and the macarons’ distinctive almond flavour.

“I am very excited and proud of our new collaboration. For the past twenty years, I have constantly been creating and reinterpreting my macaron recipes, which is my favourite creative terrain. My macarons are my identity so to put them in an ice cream I needed to work with the very best. Häagen-Dazs is just as passionate as me when it comes to, quality, taste and crafting things in a new way so collaboration was established from the first bite”, said Pierre Hermé.

Three distinct ice cream flavours are available: Yuzu & Lemon, Double Chocolate Ganache, and Strawberry & Raspberry.

The Häagen-Dazs X Pierre Hermé 2023 collection will be offered worldwide beginning in February 2023 with a limited launch in the UK and France, followed by a broader launch in Europe, Asia, Latin America, and the Middle East in the spring and summer.
