168' Trinity Tri-Deck Superyacht up for auction

The custom project from one of the most famous American superyacht builders will be auctioned off online from April 21st through the 25th by Boathouse Auctions, the first and only fully integrated, online yacht-auction platform connecting prequalified buyers with motivated sellers. The 168-foot Trinity Tri-Deck motoryacht offers a once-in-a-lifetime chance to customise the layout to one's liking while still saving a tonne of money and time during construction.

The 168' Trinity Tri-Deck is a semi-displacement luxury motoryacht that was built to ABS standards. It was made to go as fast as 18.7 knots and draw less than 8 feet in the Bahamas. modules for the ship's hull and superstructure, two 130kW Northern Lights generators, a bow thruster, a Quantum central hydraulic system, fins, and a full design and engineering kit are all up for grabs. The yacht, which was just surveyed in February of this year and is being kept in Gulfport, Mississippi, is for sale thanks to the work of Boathouse Auctions, John Dane, the former president of Trinity Yachts, and Michael Joyce, the central listing agent with Hargrave Yacht Brokerage.

Following the sale of Trinity Yachts in 2015, Dane has continued to own the yacht despite building having halted during the Great Recession. The superyacht's aluminium body and superstructure are almost finished, and overall construction is at about 20% completion.

The 168' Trinity Tri-Deck motoryacht auction is a streamlined, simplified procedure, and not just because of the shortened time to accept delivery. Extensive equipment and machinery, as well as a comprehensive surveyor's report, as well as the total project cost to date and the projected cost to finish the project based on bids from qualified international shipyards, are included in the sale. This completeness allows for a "turnkey" transaction, in which the customer can make an educated choice.

Trinity Yachts has been in business for 27 years, during which time they have designed 27 unique aluminium and steel yachts varying in length from 97 feet (29 metres) to 254 feet (77.5 metres). Throughout its history, the company has built and delivered more than 50 completely custom yachts that can be found in locations all over the world. The yachts have won a slew of honours in their field and are known for their seaworthiness, speed, superior engineering, and luxurious interiors.

"To address common concerns about how to get a yacht like this finished, the original Trinity Yachts design and engineering team can help complete the remaining drawings," says Boathouse Auctions' Director, Jack Mahoney. "They wish to see this project completed successfully, regardless of which shipyard the buyer selects for final construction. In addition, suggestions and advice for completion are available upon request."

The online auction begins on April 21, with bidding remaining open through April 25.
